At ProjectHBCU (Helping Beautiful Children Unite), our mission is to guide and empower students from marginalized communities to break the cycle of the School-to-Prison Pipeline and achieve their highest educational aspirations. Our CAP Program (College Admissions Preparation) is designed to provide comprehensive support in college admissions, scholarships, and financial aid, ensuring that every student has the tools they need to access higher education, particularly at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

  • The CAP Program offers you personalized support every step of the way—from navigating college applications to securing scholarships. We provide you with the skills, resources, and mentorship needed to succeed, including resume building, essay writing workshops, financial aid guidance, and leadership development opportunities. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to participate in HBCU campus tours and community service projects, all while being supported by a network of mentors and peers who share your journey.

  • ProjectHBCU (Helping Beautiful Children Unite) is seeking passionate volunteers to assist students with resumes, scholarships, personal statements, and the college application process. Volunteers will also serve as mentors, providing guidance and encouragement to marginalized students. Must be at least 18 years old and complete social-emotional learning training, provided by ProjectHBCU. By volunteering, you will make a significant difference, help break the K-12 School-to-Prison Pipeline, and contribute to empowering the next generation. Join us in shaping futures and breaking barriers.

  • Your support plays a crucial role in shaping the future of our youth. By partnering with ProjectHBCU, you are directly investing in students’ futures, helping them to overcome financial barriers, and providing access to quality education through scholarships, mentoring, and college tours. Together, we can create a path to success and leadership for the next generation of community changemakers. Join us in our mission to disrupt the School-to-Prison Pipeline and create a new legacy of educational excellence and civic engagement.

  • As a part of the CAP Program team, you are a vital part of our mission to prepare students for college and beyond. Your role as a mentor, educator, or volunteer means providing the tools, encouragement, and expertise to help students navigate their future paths. Through collaboration, leadership training, and mentoring, our team fosters an environment of growth and possibility, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive.
